Oliver is of normal height, wears semi-brown-blackish hair, contact lenses and could very accurately be said to be a little too conscious of his appearance.
He spends most of his time at work or in the city, trying to get the best out of life. His favourite mood is happy, and he likes his peers best when they too are happy. A side effect of this juvenile notion is that he always tries to help people and fix situations. A characteristic that has earned him the nickname “Mister Fix-it”
One could also describe him as somewhat of a movie buff with a very broad taste. Everything from Woddy Allen to Stanley Kubric to Steven Spielberg seems to delight this boy. In the end, I think the broad taste is a sideeffect of his craving for entertainment.
The Internet occupies a big part of Oliver’s life. At the time of this writing he’s eighteen and has been working professionally as a web developer specializing in client-side technologies since he was 14.
While he was initially hired by Jubii.dk to work around 10 hours weekly writing small multiplayer Javascript games for their online chat, he quickly discovered that working at the top Internet portal in Denmark was so exciting that he was going to put in a lot more then just 10 hours a week.
Since then Jubii has been bought by Lycos Europe, and his work area has expanded greatly. Although his primary area still is DHTML, now just on a larger scale, he’s also responsible for creating some of xhtml/css page templates for various services and for various in-house development tools.
His biggest project yet was co-architecting and co-developing the next, standards compliant, version of the DHTML Chat Client, which is currently in public beta.
When he’s not busy working, or in the movies, he tries to find some time to maintain his personal site oliverkofoed.com or play around with various css tests, dhtml demos, webdesigns and games.
Just finished high school, Oliver wastes no time and continues his education by enrolling directly into the Computer Science department at the Copenhagen University. An education he’s really looking forward to receiving.
